A little extra attitude. Our Bex sole sits between our classic air-cushioned outsole and a full-volume Quad platform — bringing an elevated edge you can wear every day. Here the rugged sole underpins our Original boot silhouette, built from tough Smooth leather and marked with our signature DNA: yellow welt stitching and an AirWair heel loop.

  • Born on 01.04.60. Named the 1460. Over six decades, our 8-eye work boot has become iconic;
  • Hardwearing and famously tough, our Smooth leather can be polished to shine or scuffed-up. It’s up to you. Clean with a damp cloth and care with Dr. Martens Shoe Polish;
  • Our Goodyear-welted lines are heat-sealed at 700°C and reinforced with our signature welt stitch;
  • Sole height: 3.81 cm.

Material: 

  • Upper: 100% Leather;
  • Inner: 60% Leather 40% Textile;
  • Sole: 100% PVC.

Durable and famously stiff to start, our Smooth Leather can be polished to a dapper shine or artfully scuffed-up depending on your preference.

Care Instructions:

Clean away dirt using a damp cloth and allow to dry, then apply Dr.Martens Wonder Balsam, add to shoes using the sponge applicator supplied with the product.

Construction:

Goodyear Welted - the upper and sole are heat-sealed and sewn together, providing more comfort and durability for years to come.
