Please note! Reima® clothes have a little room for growth (about 6 cm). If your child's height in the fall is close to 104 cm and the child is of average build, a size 104 snowsuit should fit him perfectly during the winter.

Layering is important when the weather is changing outside. Each layer has its specific task.
Base layer: moisture-wicking. Synthetic and mixed-fibre clothing removes moisture from the skin and transfers it to other layers. Choose preferably a material like Thermolite or wool. All of these are breathable and feel comfortable on the skin. Wool transfers and absorbs moisture, but provides warmth even when it is wet.
Mid layer: for extra warmness. The next layer is known as the mid layer. In the winter, there may be several mid layers but in the spring, one mid layer is often enough. The mid layer provides a comfortable amount of additional warmth but make sure that it is loose enough – tightly packed layers feel restrictive and do not provide warmth. A fleece is a good option because it is breathable and its heat value is the same as for wool, but it is easy to care for and dries quickly. Wool retains its warming properties even when it is wet.
Cover layer: protects against rain, wind and snow. The most important function of the outermost layer is to provide protection from the weather. It is worth opting for a waterproof cover layer so that it can be used in a variety of conditions – on clear days, in the rain or in wet snow. To be completely functional, the cover layer must also be breathable so that moisture is transferred out of the outfit.
*You can easily regulate the warmth of the whole outfit with different accessories. Remember to choose footwear that suits the weather, too!
**The sense of temperature ir individual.
The recommended temperature depends on how you are layering clothes (see in table):
Care instructions
Care instructions
Easy instructions for kids' clothes care
Reima outerwear doesn't need to be washed as often – just rinse off the dirt or simply wipe clean;
If clothes get really dirty, wash them inside out at max 40 °C/104 °F, don't use fabric softener;
Dry inside out at room temperature. Products with the “tumble dry” symbol can be tumble-dried or cabin-dried at a low temperature;
Mittens dry quickly if you turn them inside out, but be careful not to pull out the lining;
Outerwear and shoes will repel water and dirt even better if you use a protective spray. You can also impregnate garments in the wash;
When you wash soft or fuzzy synthetics that shed microfibres, use a method to catch microplastics, such as the Guppyfriend washing bag;
Mending clothes is ecological, and high-quality Reima clothes are well worth it. The Reima Repair Kit offers no-sew fixes and spare parts for tough-tested; waterproof gear. You can also buy spare Reima foot loops;
Store outdoor jackets, pants and overalls (except down products) on hangers—folding may damage the waterproof coating.
Outtdoor clothes -Wash less, enjoy more
Why do we ask you to wash less? Each wash consumes the product, so only machine wash when necessary.
Do up the zips and other fasteners to prevent them from damaging fabrics;
If stubborn stains appear, you can use a stain remover (test it on the inside first) and wash the product without turning it inside out;
For colours and prints, use a detergent without bleach. Dose carefully;
To protect the colors, don't leave the clothes to soak.
Don't use fabric softener
Fabric softeners can reduce the breathability of waterproof fabrics and the elasticity of jerseys.
Dry the clothes at room temperature
Outdoor clothes dry more quickly inside out;
You can also use a drying cabinet or tumble dryer below 40 °C if the care instructions permit this. Too much heat can damage the garment.
Swimwear - Always wash with care
Chlorine and salty seawater weaken the fibers, so rinse your swimwear after every use;
Wash UV-protective outfits after each day of use with mild, bleach-free detergent below 40 °C;
If sand gets inside the jersey, stretch the fabric when it has dried, gently working on one small area at a time to get the sand out.
Don't use fabric softener
Fabric softeners can reduce elasticity;
Don't wash swimwear with clothes with velcro fasteners as the rough fastener may damage the jersey.
Dry out of the sun
Heat and ultraviolet rays can reduce elasticity;
High-quality swimwear will dry quickly in the shade!
Caring for Woolly clothes
Reima woollens are usually machine washable - check the care label, though;
Use a wool wash detergent and choose wool cycle/gentle cycle;
No care label on the product? Wash the garment by hand at 30 °C;
Avoid soaking and rubbing;
Top tip for lazy laundering in freezing weather: take woolly clothes outside to air or give them a proper snow-wash!
Dry woollens flat
Dry woolly clothes flat to keep the shape;
Choose a well aired place out of direct sunlight.
Baby clothes - Pay attention to material choices
Babywear often needs a daily wash;
Favor materials that can be machine-washed when necessary.
Wash gently
Avoid strongly scented detergents and rinse the products thoroughly;
There is no need to use fabric softener;
You can treat stubborn stains with gall soap before machine-washing;
Most Reima wear dries quickly at room temperature.
Size table
Size table
Reima® overalls have around 6 cm room for growth, allowing base and mid layers, too. If your child is close to 104 cm tall in the autumn and is of a thin or medium body type, a size 104 overall should fit comfortably through the winter. However, kids can grow in spurts, so sometimes a larger size may be a wise choice.
